Love
Layla and Majnun are the leading characters of an old story about ill-fated love which is originated in the Arab world.
They brought the story with them when they conquered North Africa and the Middle East; Persians took it to India. In the twelfth century the Persian poet Nizami was commissioned by the king to retell the story in rhyme. To this day lovers pledge to remain faithful with words from Nizami’s world famous epic.
