Take a musical trip around the world in this exhibition. Find out about African rhythms that reverberate on Trinidad. Or about Mexican love songs that would hardly be the same without Austria’s accordion. Music and musical instruments travel all around the world.
Migrants bring their instruments and musical styles across the globe. Their music inspires local musicians, while the newcomers adopt local traditions. The result is fusion. A remix of sounds.
Your voice
Most used of all the instruments is your own voice. An instrument that sounds different everywhere; in the Alps, in India, on the Mongolian steppe. Use your voice in the Museum of Forgotten Songs or at the Singing School.
