Telling stories
This permanent exhibition of the Tropenmuseum tells a story about India and her neighbouring countries. Stories about people, ideas and objects. Every object and person tell a story. The stories are about festivals and processions, economy and history, gods and heroes, pelgrimages and wanderings.
India is a land of stories and storytellers. They can be seen and heard throughout the country. They provide the framework for dance, theatre and music.
