Education
Tropenmuseum offers an extensive range of activities for primary and secondary school children. For schools from abroad, the museum also offers guided tours of the museum highlights in English.
You can also compile your own programme for your museum visit. To prepare for this we provide the option of a free visit to the museum. Our museum educators are always ready to share ideas with you as teachers about organising a specific programme for your students.

Supervisors
Supervisors of school groups are admitted free to the museum. Groups require a minimum number of supervisors, as outlined below; additional supervisors are always welcome.
- Children under 6: 1 supervisor per 3 children.
- Children over 6: 1 supervisor per 10 children.
- Primary and secondary schools: 1 supervisor per 10 children.
