The museum is open from 10 AM to 5 PM from Tuesday to Sunday. The museum is also open on Mondays during school vacations and on various holidays. This means that we are open on the following Mondays:
- Spring holiday: February 12 and 19 2024
- Easter Monday: April 1 2024
- May holiday: April 29 and May 6 2024
- Pentecost: May 20 2024
- Summer holiday: July 8, 15, 22 and 29, August 5, 12, 19 and 26 2024
- Fall holiday: October 21 and 28 2024
- Christmas holiday: December 23 and 30 2024
The museum is closed on:
- January 1st (New Years Day)
- April 27th (King's Day)
- December 25th (Christmas Day)

* Discount or free admission only upon presentation of the relevant discount card. This card must be shown physically. Student ID and/or enrollment may be shown digitally.

Museum card
We sell the Museum card at the Wereldmuseum Amsterdam.
House rules
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Special rules apply to (school) groups. These are issued when the booking is made.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Visitors with a youth ticket are expected to provide proof of age when entering the museum.
- Students are expected to show a valid (digital) student card when entering the museum.
- Holders of a CJP (school pupils’ culture) card, annual Museum Card, friends of the Wereldmuseum Amsterdam card, ICOM card, I amsterdam City Card, Rembrandt Association card, VriendenLoterij VIP card are requested to show their card when entering the museum.
