Secondary education | Capoeira workshop

You’ll start with a tour through the Tropenmuseum in which you discover more about the history of slavery. After that you’ll prepare for a real capoeira battle! You’ll learn various dance steps and fighting moves that were brought to Brazil by enslaved Africans. And you’ll make the music traditionally associated with capoeira. Capoeira is all about creativity, having fun and working together!

Recommendation

We advise participants to wear loose-fitting clothing which allows you to move, dance and jump freely.
